The early symptoms of lyme disease can be quickly diagnosed
July 24th, 2010 by admin
The primary of the early symptoms of lyme disease is the lyme disease rash which is commonly found in approximately eighty per cent of cases.
Fortunately this rash is more of a help than a hindrance and this is because it is not painful or irritating but instead it has a very unique look which can be very beneficial for a quick diagnosis. The tick bite is of course at the dead centre of the rash and looks like a small spot or bump. Around this bite mark there is a ring of clear skin but around this ring is another ring of rash and this can be very widespread. However with the clear ring this makes the rash look like a target and therefore quite easy for physicians to recognise that it could be lyme disease that you are suffering from.
You don’t necessarily need to know that you have been bitten by a tick to get the correct diagnosis of early symptoms of Lyme Disease as the doctor will ask you questions that will lead to the likelihood that this was the case, such as ‘do you have dogs?’. They will also ask if you have spent any time in a habitat where ticks can be found such as a forest or heath land recently. These simple questions will confirm that you may have been exposed to ticks that could have bitten you as these are the only creatures that can be responsible for the early symptoms of lyme disease. Although animals can also contract the disease there is no way that they can pass it to a human or visa versa.
