Women and men alike are always looking for Strengthening Core Exercises to add to their daily regime. We are constantly told that a strong core is good for many reasons. It’s important for keeping good posture and the health of the spinal cord. It also is very important in aiding overall body support in other sports such as running, swimming, and lifting. There are loads of tip and good exercises out there but here are two that will not let you down and can be done from the convenience of your home. They are pilates and yoga. These two workouts get confused and put in the same category all the time, but they are very different.
Pilates is one of the best for utilizing Core Strengthening Exercises. With pilates movements are very controlled and concise. Abdominal exercises are the foundation for a good solid pilates routine. When doing these stretching like exercises one’s body learns flexibility as well as agility and overall controlled body motion. Pilates can be done in the privacy of home or office. It can be done with a mat or if there is room a machine can be used. There isn’t a huge time period that needs to be set aside for these exercises. They can be accomplished in as little as 15 minutes a day. Pilates has had proven results over and over again.
Yoga is also a great tool for Strengthening Core Exercises. Yoga gives a total overall life to mind, spirit, and body. When it comes to aiding the core muscles, yoga utilizes slow and concise stretching movements to engage the abdominal muscles and get the most out of each movement. A regular regimen of yoga will cause those core muscles to strengthen and will allow stress to be released from the body, which in effect will cause fat to be released from the mid-section.
You cannot go wrong with either of these exercises when it comes to Muscle Strengthening. Pilates and Yoga have proven over and over that they are very effective methods in developing lean and strong abdominal muscles, better posture, flexibility, and increased strength. If you are looking for overall wellness of spirit, body, and mind then the exercise you would want would be yoga. If you are looking for a slightly more rigorous routine and really concentrating on isolating those core muscles then you would definitely want to stick with pilates.
