    How to use Essential Oils – Lavender

    Lavender has been a linchpin of the essential oil and perfumery world for eons and its story can be retraced back beyond the Pharoahs of Egypt and the philosophers of Ancient Greece. 

    Looking around the shelves of any high st shop it can be found in plenty – aromatizing talcs, soaps, shampoos, roomfreshners, and a million an one other wares. So this oil has a definite place on the shelves of any oil lover or aromatherapy practician! 

     

    The Oil Basics 

    Lavender oil is an key oil found by distillation from the bloom spikes 

    of particular species of lavender. Two kinds are central, lavender flower oil, a colorless oil, 

    insoluble in water, having a density of 0.885 g/mL; and lavender spike oil, a distillate from the herb 

    Lavandula latifolia, having denseness 0.905 g/mL.

    One or two drops on a tissue paper which is then put under the pillow can aid a relaxing nights rest 

    Put a couple of drops into the final rinse or your wash to give oyur laundry a fresh natural and clean scent 

    Put a couple of drops of the Lavender Oil into a carrier oil and blend. Then add a few drops to your bathwater and delight an indulgant restful soak. 

    A few drops on a textile which is then laid in your vaccuum bags will assist scent the room whils toyu do the housekeeping. 

    When learning add four or five drops to an oil burner to stimulate and freshen up the mind and increase vigilance!
