Eliquid – A Brief History

The ecig is becoming more popular every day. Along with its increase in popularity is the need from long time users to find replacement parts and ecig accessories. Most people buy an ecig starter kit that contains enough supplies to last about 1 month. But after they run out of eliquid, they often don’t realize they can go back to their original supplier to purchase replacement parts and accessories.
The most common need is for eliquids and ejuice. This is the nicotine containing fluid that is heated by the atomizer to produce the vapor. Due to the temporary ban by the FDA, eliquid and ejuice are in short supply. This is because many shipments of the liquid were seized and hels by US Customs. If you have ever had to deal with Customs, you know they are in no hurry to help you. They actually seem to go out of their way to cause problems. Even after the ban on ecig eliquid was lifted, Customs is still dragging their feet almost 2 months after they were informed they could release the products.
On the same subject, ecig atomizers are becoming very scarce. These tiny devices are the portion of the ecig that heats and vaporizes the eliquid. Just like the eliquid, without them the ecig is useless. The good thing is that the atomizer last a long time with proper care. If your ecig atomizer starts to perform poorly, try putting it in a small glass of boiling water and roll it around. This will sometimes remove any accumilated sludge form the atomizer. You can also try rolling the atomizer in a small glass of alcohol. Please exercise proper judgement and safety precautions with either method as both present dangers of burning and fire.
With ecig prices falling and the FDA held at bay from their prior sanctions of the ecig, accessories for this modern lifesaver are likely to become more expensive and difficult to find.
